Collective Bargaining
- This is the process by which the parties to our NEC represented by the Cement and Lime Employers Association and the Cement and Lime and Allied Workers Union of Zimbabwe bring together collective efforts resulting in a Collective Bargaining Agreement that is meant to regulate the conditions of employment for the Cement and Lime and Allied Industry.
- Collective Bargaining ensures active involvement of both the interested parties to the NEC in coming up with the minimum governing standards package of the industry. The package usually speaks to the following components; wages and salaries, hours of work, leave, health and safety issues, employee benefits, work-life balance and many others.
- The setting up of such standards provides a yardstick for the minimum operating standards for all players in the industry so that fairness, justice, productivity and harmony prevail in the industry.
